Paradise

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
So she ran away in her sleep
And dreamed of Paradise every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
And the bullets catch in her teeth
Life goes on, it gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear a waterfall
In the night the stormy night she'll close her eyes
In the night the stormy night away she'd fly

And dreams of Paradise
She'd dream of Paradise

And so lying underneath the stormy skies
She'd say, "Oh, I know the sun must set to rise"

This could be Paradise
This could be Paradise
This could be Paradise

another user

I had a small conversation with my female colleague who eventually happened to be a Nissan March user. I asked about her opinion driving March. She doesn't have much to complain about.

I agree with her!
The noise when I turned the aircon on was so annoying! I don't know why it did that.
Then the compartments, hmmm.. yeh, not a lot of compartments, but, hey it's a compact car so I will get away with it.
And about the fuel consumption, I couldn't agree more.

March's sibling, Micra

It's bothering me really...

I want Micra to come to Indonesia as well.

I've seen Micra several times here in Jakarta,
probably around 4 times and it's always the milky-yellow one.
(None in the picture) (It was probably the only Micra in town)
And me, just loving its shape.
And those Micras above are not all. There are still more colours available.

It would be great to have March and Micra parading in this city.
Both cute and Jakarta-friendly
I might get the white one if they ever come to Indonesia :9

march along the way

4 pm left the office.
Was leaving in Joy. Sort of.

After 10 mins driving,
Jakarta's traffic, South Jakarta to be exact,
showed its character:
FRIGGIN ANNOYING TRAFFIC CONGESTION

ta daaaa . . .

Route was :
Blok M - Planet Hollywood, Kartika Chandra - Epicentrum, Kuningan
Only in South and it took 2.5 hours
FYI, I drove M/T March :)

At peak hours in Jakarta,
there will be no alternatives road.
Sadly you can't rely on Jakarta's traffic.
The volume of the roads and the cars are imbalance.
And often you don't really have any choice than surfing in the traffic.
Then think about the gas you waste every single day.

After an hour driving, 15.3Km/L is what I got

15.3Km/L is not so bad. It's still very good in fact!
I've read Taufik Hidayat's blog, one of the #7DaysMarch participants,
so I can say that 15.3Km/L is good.

how friendly?

As I read the comments on my previous post, "7 Days With March", both Tristan and Pat Adele had positive impression about March. Also Pat Adele asked about how friendly can March be?

I have 3 points I wanna share about March:

1. Size
2. Fuel Consumption
3. Details

With 3.760m long, 1.665m wide, and 1.530m height, you should be able to imagine how compact it is. But you'll be surprised when you found the spacious cabin and baggage. But, make sure it's not more than 5 passengers though...

And when talking about the fuel consumption. Ah really, enough said, this car is seriously efficient. When I got this car, it was full tank. Surprise, surprise, I lost only one bar after 3 days! Well, my route was just office-home, stop a bit somewhere before home, and some places on weekends. That's probably the typical activities the Jakarta people do and that's why "city-cars" invented.

Last but not least,
The tape deck. Oh! i love the tape deck design, it's FINGER FRIENDLY. That term came up cause I realise how easy to navigate the tape. You know how some tapes have small buttons, it's so hard to press them and distract your driving concentration, so it's not safe to change channel sometimes. March has a pretty big tape deck buttons which makes it easy for me to reach it while driving since they don't have the buttons on the steer :P I just noticed that after a few days, when I realised that my activities inside the car is so easy. Oh! Like the mirror on the sun-shield/shade. It's on the driver side! Hahaha.. what a great small touch! The Nissan people knows that the driver needs a mirror as well! Another one is the cabin lamp. If we set it on doors-mode, it will turn off after we lock the doors :) Keep working on the details, Nissan guys! It's the details that impresses me most :)

Bold and reachable.
The advantage of having a small car is
you get the feeling like the car is stick with your body.
It moves with you.

Actually, my sister point this out very well, "This car is such a personal car". In a good way, if you use this car for your daily routine where it will be only you driving it, this car is driver friendly.

"7 Days With March"

"Here's the key.
Take it home
and have fun with it."

Kunci apa sih??
Kunci mobil Nissan MARCH!

No, I didn't buy a new car. And no, I didn't borrow any car. Instead, PT. Nissan Motor Indonesia lend me their silver March for a week! Equals a bloody 7 days! Hahah.. surprised? I'm too surprised myself :D

Yesterday, I went to Nissan's dealer at MT. Haryono to finish some work. Planning to have my own birthday dinner with the cousins afterwards, I decided not to drive and just go to Nissan's dealer with taxi. Besides, who really wants to drive alone on Saturday night? ;) And consider the safety if you actually had a hard night! Lalala..

After a small chit-chat with my colleague, Voila! I left the dealer driving the cute silver March :D
It was unfortunate that my cousin, dr. Harry already picked me up at the dealer, but anyway, he doesn't mind it cause he got the chance to have a peak on March's big brother, JUKE. He even jumped into (my) March while it was still parked to compare it with his Jazz. "It's cool. Nice car for a 1200 cc." That was his first impression.

We finally left MT. Haryono for Tebet. To avoid the traffic, we drove along the "jalan-tikus" in Tebet. A real jalan tikus. Just a few minutes driving, my March already showing off to me ;) Cute babe, he made sure that he was designed for a real comfort driving in Jakarta. If you haven't know, Tebet is the area where the streets are way too small and you might find cars parked on the street.. Haha.. Yeh, some people sometimes don't really use their big brain to think. They use it for the sake of using it... doh! So, ok, my babe was making me sure that I should worry nothing. Its compact size made me not worry at all driving it in jalan tikus. Less worry on driving is just too important! It's a freedom! If I was driving my dad's car, with its big butt and long body haha, I would just gone crazy and maybe just grumpy all the time. I would probably curse my beloved cousin for taking me to drive along the jalan tikus. But, I was impressed :)

In the middle of dinner time, I got a sad news that my aunt from the other family-side died of heart attack. The fun night turned into a dramatic night. Leaving Park Lane, Casablanca - Tebet - Pondok Indah - then last destination Pondok Aren to my aunt's house and arrived safely. It was too sad, too much for me to realise the performance of the car. I forgot about the excitement. The focus was just to drive safely.

We made it home at about 2 in the morning,
March fits very well in a small spot in our front yard.
Too dark I know, but I have to take a photo at least ;)

I'll comeback with more stories for sure. I just need to keep it low right now :)
