i feel like dancing

2.30pm - 7.00pm at Rob's house.

Fun day indeed. We were making music :)

Today, i showed up at Rob's house with nothing but lyrics. I finally have to admit that i haven't create any songs at all using his raw material he gave me last time. I was meant to put melody and lyrics on it. With heaps of confidence, i told him that i will try to work on it. Passed a week and a few days, i still have nothing.

Putting lyrics, making melody.. man they were not as easy as i thought. So we finally decided to try it together and Voila! With Rob's guitar.. a song was made ;)

This last few days, i feel like the old me has coming back. Getting in this process is making me feels like i'm back on the dance floor. Oooyea! For a year, I gave up singing. Had decided to go back to uni and concentrate on it. Was thinking that i would continue my Architecture which require heaps of commitment.

But since my meeting with friends in Melbourne, i just knew that i never really could give up singing. Surrounded with people whose very musical and also very supportive had brought back the music in me. I won't give it up.

I went to Komunitas Salihara (www.salihara.org) this afternoon with my bestfriend, Wulan, to watch dance performance from a dance group from Japan, CONDORS. I have no idea about them. But since i got good review from my sist and finally read the review, i decided to watch them. It was great that Wulan is a spontaneous person, she was easily convinced to join me. She has no idea too.

Condors, the all male dance company has turned the Japanese contemporary dance scene on its head, is electric, sweaty, outrageous and hysterical (Says Salihara's Website). They had their prime performance in New York city in 2001, "Conquest of the Galaxy series 1: Jupiter" and had great success, followed with tours to heaps of countries including Indonesia . So this is their 2nd time coming. And they are performing the sequel, "Conquest of the Galaxy: Mars" .

After watching the performance, my opinion about them is, simply brilliant!

They were 12 people and they all amazing. They don't have perfect body as dancers should have (some does have though), so they all looked very humane. That's the message for us.

It says that Condors present a performance without a burden for the audience, as the members of this dance group believe life should be. That was true. We were filled with laughter watching them. They were shaking the audiences with laughter. What i thought was brilliant, beside the overall performance, is that they were speaking in Bahasa Indonesia in some of their conversation and uses some of our slang on perfect terms. Simple but brilliant.

Mars by Condors

Wulan and i were so satisfied. All the stress were gone for a while which was great ;)

Like always, when Wulan got excited, she wants to have photos with the artist(s). She a got a bit nervous. One of the guy whose working for Salihara saw our anxiety, uhm, mostly Wulan's. So he told us to join the after party, upstairs. We were pretty interested actually but decided not to join them because we know nobody there. Shame. But we got some photos with them, lucky.

Wulan has declared that she is a new fan of Condors. I reckon you guys just have to check their website www.condors.jp

Lost Connection

Months ago, before i came to Jakarta, i bought Parsley seeds at Ceres Nursery-Dennis near Fairfield. Planning to plant it at my parent's.

Often, Parsley here in Jakarta, known as Petersely, is used for garnish purpose. And only in restaurant. Of course, the western food restaurant.

My love of parsley, beside mushroom, makes me wanna introduce it to my family. Also, thinking of TK whose loving gardening, push me to try to do gardening. I thought, it will makes me feel connected to him :) To understand what he is loving. So planting the parsley could become a connection with him. Those are the magic plans when i decided to bought it.

Today, i was gonna plant the seeds. The weather was perfect. Sunny and clear. It's the raining season now, so the waiting was pretty long. But what i found was, i lost my seeds! Someone misplaced it! But no one feels responsible for the lost. I was so annoyed. The search didn't succeed.

I lost the connection.

Simon's movie project continue

On November 13, 2009 (if i wasn't wrong), we went to Simon's premiere.

Together with TK, Steve and Jane went to RMIT to give him support.

But i was notified by Sim days before that i wasn't on the film because he was ran out of time to finish it, since i was appeared to be the closing.

I thought, grrrr.. haha, no worries. (Then he added, but i put your name on the credit.) Haha.. oh Sim, i'm seriously fine, again, no worries.

This is only continuing my post before about Simon's movie project. Congratulation on Sim!
