LITTLE CAKES BOOK

i'm posting this book not because i wanna share the recipes but mainly just because i love this book. it has its own magic. they use not photographs but illustrations which makes me seeing the book as seeing a fairy-tale book. oh it seriously does! when i was very young, i love checking on mum's recipe books (not just checking but imagining on eating them, i even made the sound of "yuumm" and drooling-voice all the time). mum's books are mainly dessert books with great photographs and awesome presentations. but from looking at them, i always thought it's hard to make them. especially when it came to cakes. what is so magical about this book for me is the illustrations effects. it gives a childish impression to me. it makes me think that making them is not hard. this made me realised and flashing back to my childhood times. it was the perfection and the reality (the real photographs from mum's books) that makes me stop trying. it's interesting when something surreal making things real.
