People took a photo to keep a memory.
But, I felt a totally different feelings when I saw this particular photo a few months ago
and when I saw it just a few minutes ago.
They changed,
the memory I want to recall has changed.
Why changed?
Was the idea to lock the memory didn't work?
It worked :)
The memories was still there,
kept and locked.
It was my perspective that changed it.

I used to love this photo.
And I still love it now, but in a different way.

Stuffed Up Traffic of Jakarta

Since I started working in a social media marketing company, I almost never drive again. Being used to work (freelance) from home (had the freedom to avoid the traffic of Jakarta) made me got so frustrated when I started
working outside my house, I sometimes laughing at myself cause I know how I never want to work in other's company, but for the sake of experience I finally threw myself in to the pit.

Though our office starts pretty much late at 10 am, consider offices here generally starts at 8.30ish, it won't guarantee you'll get freed from the traffic jam. The pain of waiting and sitting in the car for the traffic is unbearable cause the drive to my office will take 25 mins in the morning while should be only 15 mins! And 45 mins while it should be only 15 mins going back home. Wanna try the public transport? the cheap Metro Mini bus, it will get you home after they locking you in a carbon gas chamber after 1 and a half hour. Crazeeeh? More than that.. it's hell.

I know it's not as horrible as them who got home after 1 to 2 hours driving. But I think wasting time twice as much as I should is a problem and I do have to do something with it..

Jakarta Globe could give some image, some of many reasons why Jakarta has a terrible traffic system http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/jammedjakarta But my point is, this crazy pathetic traffic in Jakarta has clearly degrading my quality of life and eating away my freedom.

This isn't a rare sight. It's the real deal.

In January, I visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for Holiday. Despite of the 'eye-rising' bilateral relationship between our countries, I would say let's learn from Malaysia. We can brag about Petronas was originally learning from Pertamina. But hey guys, maybe we can learn from them how to handle traffic jam? Oh yeh, sounds embarrassing.. but it's more embarrassing if we still got stuck in traffic while we actually have a presentation in our client's office just because we were trapped in a traffic jam.

Ampang St., Kuala Lumpur.
It's still a pretty long line, but you don't see it chaotic.
Plus, no bike riders that flooded the spaces between the cars.
A discipline :) We need that. (Photo by Tristan Knowles)

Sadly, I can't keep hoping for the government will finally do take the action to untangled this madness. I have to decide soon what I have to do with myself. Too much energy has gone just to curse this madness and too much time haswasted for this problem. Finally, I decided to join the community of the bike riders. Yeh, I finally became part of them. They who I hate the most that I called dearly with motorpsychos.

Well, not as a biker, but as someone who's loving the service of an OJEK. A bike-ride service. I don't care how most girls think it's not fashion or most guys says I should be careful. I just wanna get my freedom back.

So, no more stuck in traffic. It takes only 10 mins to the office and 15 mins back home. And my life after office hour? Easy.
